Our Commitment to Sustainability
Message from our Leaders
Commitment to Our Planet
Commitment to Society
Commitment to Our People
Commitment to Governance
Pledge to become carbon neutral through our business activities by 2021 and our entire value chain by 2030*2
To support the longevity of our planet, we are committed to protecting the health of our environment. In an effort to serve as a responsible corporate citizen, we will focus on reducing greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions to address climate change.
We will switch to using renewable electricity in our offices, provide ongoing support to full-time and temporary staff working from home, and use sustainable data centers to reduce GHG emissions. To become carbon neutral through our entire value chain by 2030, we will explore even more initiatives.
Shorten the time to get hired by half*3
We will contribute to eliminating poverty and economic vulnerability by reducing the time it takes job seekers to get hired. Aspirationally we want people to be able to get a job as fast and simple as a push of a button.
Almost 40% of people would fall into poverty if they had no income for three months*6
Our business creates positive social change by connecting people with the opportunity to earn a living.
Recruiting automation technology
We have been taking various initiatives to reduce the time for job seekers to get hired, by enhancing matching efficiency using technology and data.
For example at Indeed, one of our major subsidiaries, Indeed Hiring Platform serves to shorten the interview process by helping select candidates, schedule interviews, and improve communication between job seekers and employers.
Help 30 million people facing barriers get hired*4
Job seekers from vulnerable and marginalized communities face barriers in the labor market. These barriers are difficult to remove through improving matching efficiency alone.
We aim to minimize barriers using technology and partnerships to promote inclusive hiring.
Achieve gender parity across all employee levels
From the foundation, Recruit Group's diverse employee base has been the source of our value creation. Betting on passion and ideas fueled by their curiosity is our competitive advantage. Thus, we will roll out further initiatives to promote a diverse and inclusive workforce that in turn fosters innovation.
As a first step, we will focus on gender parity among senior executives, managers and employees*7.
While at the same time, we will encourage and support subsidiaries to address other aspects of diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) reflective of each country, area and business.
It always starts from within
When all of the employees are empowered to foster their passions, they will be motivated to invent innovative ways to better support our users as well as the society they live in. When job seekers and employers are happy with our products and services, our businesses can succeed, and then we can share the success with shareholders.
We believe that we can sustainably grow our corporate value through aiming to prosper together with all of our stakeholders.
Reach gender parity at the Board of Directors members including Audit & Supervisory Board members*5
We will focus on increasing diversity within the Board of Directors and Audit & Supervisory Board members to raise the quality of decision-making and further ensure transparency and soundness in its governance structure. By improving diversity, we believe our company will benefit from more diverse skills, professional experiences and backgrounds.
The goal is to achieve gender parity across the total number of Directors of the Board and Audit & Supervisory Board members by 2030. We will propose diverse candidates for election at the Annual Meeting of Shareholders of Recruit Holdings.
