Naoki Izumiya, who is Honorary Advisor of Asahi Group Holdings, Ltd., has served as an independent Director of Recruit Holdings’ Board since 2018. Before his role as Chairman, he promoted the growth of Asahi Group companies and spearheaded acquisitions including Calpis Co., Ltd. He expanded the business globally to Oceania, south east Asia and Europe. Naoki served in various roles at Asahi Breweries, Ltd. including Senior General Manager of Strategy Planning Headquarters, General Manager of the Tokyo Branch and Public Relations before he was appointed President and Representative Director of Asahi Breweries, Ltd. in 2010.
