Outbreak of New Coronavirus Infection (COVID-19) at Recruit Group in Japan

On April 3, one employee of Recruit Career Co., Ltd., working at the base building in Tenjin, Fukuoka Prefecture, tested positive for the new coronavirus infection (COVID-19). The employee has been recovering at home since Wednesday, April 1, when the employee showed symptoms, including fever.

We are working with the local public health center to identify those who had close contact with the employee and review the employee's history at the site. Per the instructions of the public health center, we will report on the progress of health observations and disinfection efforts.

In addition to Recruit Career, eight other group companies are located in the building, though no other infections have been confirmed.

The Recruit Group will continue to prioritize preventing the spread of the infection inside and outside our company. We will work to ensure the safety of employees and take prompt action in accordance with government policies and action plans.
