2017 Sustainability Committee

Recruit Group has set up a Sustainability Committee as an advisory body to the Board of Directors, to discuss the promotion of sustainability initiatives within Recruit Group, with advice from external experts.
In Fiscal 2017, committee meetings were held twice in total, in December and March, to discuss our Sustainability Policy including our core themes for furthering the progress in sustainability management.
The objective is to meet the expectations and requests of society through an approach that is unique to Recruit, based on its business environment and business domains, as a means to adapt to the changing world as a global organization.

In those meetings, we discussed the new core themes of Recruit Group's Sustainability Policy we established based on the dialogues with stakeholders. Some of the topics discussed include "the necessity to close the opportunity gap", "Recruit's unique perspective on the new ways of work", as well as the importance of disclosure and expectations regarding its further evolution.
We were able to learn and gain a lot of insights, receiving frank and honest opinions and requests for how we can continue to be a company that is needed by society.

Based on the committee's report, a board meeting was held and the new Sustainability Policy was established.
We will continue to set up forums for discussions with external input.
