TOWNWORK SUKIMA (tentative name), new job board for on-demand work to be launched in the Fall 2024

TOKYO, JAPAN (May 14, 2024) – Recruit Holdings Co., Ltd. (TSE: 6098) (the “Company”) announces its subsidiary, Recruit Co., Ltd (Recruit), the SBU headquarters of the Matching & Solutions SBU, is launching a new job board, “TOWNWORK SUKIMA” (tentative name) focused on on-demand work in the fall 2024.
In Japan, the ongoing labor shortage is a critical social issue, leading to significant changes in employment preferences and business needs. Some people may prefer to work just a few hours each day or seek a second job in their free time as a new challenge. Particularly in the service industry, businesses are urgently in need of workers, even if only for a few hours. As a result, there is increasing demand for on-demand work from both job seekers and business clients.
By combining the Matching & Solutions SBU’s expertise in the HR Solutions business and SaaS in Japan in collaboration with Indeed PLUS, a job distribution platform from the HR Technology SBU, the Company believes Recruit Group is well positioned to help address the labor shortage issue in Japan.
